Welcome! We are excited to have you on the team this year and would like to work proactively with you over the next couple of months to make sure that you are set up for success in your new role.

Here is some information that you will find useful as you start to prepare for the next couple of months! If you have ANY questions please don’t hesitate to ask your Director Consultant. We are here to help and support you.


By Now

The new Leadership Team has been identified and voted on by the chapter. If not call your Director Consultant ASAP!
Transition meeting with current LT has been scheduled (see below for agenda ideas).


By August 15

Register for Leadership Team Training

Completed Chapter Slate (attached) has been sent to your Director Consultant with a list of all your Support Teams. If you need some help getting your Support Teams together, use the Support Team Role Sign up sheet (attached) to have members sign up for their top three roles and then you make the final decision as to who is in which role.

An Alternate has been identified and is registered to attend Leadership Team Training. Alternates can take over any role should a Leadership Team member need to step down.


By September 1

Current S/T has paid $120 invoice for ALL members of your chapter to attend Support Team training and up to 4 members to attend Leadership Team Training.

Completed BNI MN University Online Training – Enrollment for 2015-2016 courses will begin August 15th.


By Oct. 1

Leadership Team Elect has attended in person trainings.

Membership Dues Report is accurate and up-to-date.  All pending new and renewing members payments and applications have been submitted to the regional office. Work with the current VP and S/T to ensure that this has been done. I promise this will save you a lot of time and energy!!

New President and S/T are signers on the chapter bank account.


Transition Meeting Ideas

It is recommended to begin the meeting together and then break up to meet individually to discuss specific roles.

Discussion points as a group
  1. Ask about their goals. What have they been working on and how can you support that in the coming year.

  2. Ask what was their biggest challenge, why and what did they wish they could have done differently.

  3. Ask what accomplishment are they the most proud of.

  4. Ask what role they would be willing to take next year. (It is nice to have the VP stay on the Membership Committee for continuity)

President
  1. Go through President 's Box, check supplies and make sure you have enough of everything you need. Where is it stored? How often do they order? Is there anything missing? Do you have the NEW applications?

  2. PowerPoint – Who manages this?

Vice President
  1. Review any member issues that have been dealt with this past year or that are currently being handled.

  2. Review attendance and any concerns.

  3. Minimum Standards?

  4. Membership Committee – How did they delegate the duties. What worked and what didn’t.

Secretary/Treasurer
  1. Chapter financials and bank account information. President and S/T Elect will need to become signer on bank account

  2. VERY IMPORTANT – Are there any pending members on Membership Dues Report. If so, why?

  3. Speaker rotation
